A new provision of the Social Insurance Code (SIC) has been created which
regulates the recalculation of pensions for work activity from 1 October 2022.
According to the provision, the following shall be recalculated from 1 October 2022:
Pensions for retirement and old age, pensions for invalidity due to
pensions for invalidity due to occupational accidents and
occupational disease, and military invalidity and
civil invalidity, if their amount, being more favourable, is
determined as for the occupational accident and disease pension
(personal and survivors), as well as widow’s allowances from such type of pensions;
work-related pensions, the amounts of which are calculated on the basis of

The recalculation shall be carried out ex officio by the National Social Security Institute,
