Ministry of Economy and Industry launches survey on expected
impacts of the euro and what impact it will have on small and medium-sized enterprises in
Bulgaria. The survey will be active on the ministry’s website until 16 December.

The survey will also be distributed through specialist organisations.

The survey results themselves will help the Bulgarian administration to
understand the problems in the process of switching from one currency to the other by
the companies’ perspective. It will also take into account the future benefits of euro adoption.
The survey is anonymous and contains questions to clarify topics such as expected
costs associated with adapting fiscal devices and changing
accounting software. Information is also collected on staff training needs
and other possible challenges faced by firms in the process of introducing
euro.

The evaluations from the survey will be used for strategic planning.
