What will be the days off in 2024?

The year is already winding down, we are all already looking forward to the Christmas holidays to take a break from the big hustle and bustle. And we’re gently turning the calendar to see what our days off will be in 2024.

After a brief look, however, we noticed that we won’t be able to merge days as much, since quite a few of them fall on the weekend. Check out the current calendar of public holidays in 2024, and the options for combining holidays with days off.
Public holidays in 2024 ca 11 days

Generally around Easter and St George’s Day will be one option for merging, and their three days off around 24 May (Friday), and then 6 September (Friday)
The following days are public holidays and non-working in 2024:

January 1 (Monday) 2024 – New Year’s Day.
3 March (Sunday) Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule.
5 May (Sunday) 2024 – Easter Day – the Christian religion celebrates the Resurrection of Christ.
1 May (Wednesday)- Labour Day and International Workers’ Solidarity Day.
May 6 (Monday) – St. George’s Day, the Day of Bravery and the Bulgarian Army.
24 May (Friday) – Day of Bulgarian Enlightenment and Culture and of the Slavonic script.
6 (Friday) September – Unification of Bulgaria.
22 (Sunday) September – Bulgaria’s Independence Day.
24, 25, 26 December (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) – Christmas Day.

School holidays and non-school days 2024:

02.01.2024 – Last non-school day of the Christmas holidays.
03.02.2024 – 05.02.2024 – Inter-term holiday
30.03.2024 – 07.04.2024 – Spring vacation for classes I – XI.
05.04.2024 – 07.04.2024 – Spring break for Class XII.
17.05, 20.05, 10.06, 12.06, 19.06, 21.06 – Non-teaching days due to matriculation exams and NCE exams
